This year Ganesh Chaturthi is on 22nd August and I wanted to make something special for Ganpati Bappa this year. I thought over a lot and finally make this beautiful Ganpati Makhar (Also known as Aasan or Singhasan) with Cardboard.
How to make Ganpati Makhar Aasan with Cardboard
Material Required:
- Cardboard
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Craft Scissors
- Paper Cup
- A4 Size Paper Sheets
- Decoration Material
- Acrylic Colors
Step by Step Tutorial to make Ganpati Makhar Aasan:
- Cut 1 cardboard piece size – 11cm x 7cm
- Now cut 2 cardboard piece size – 7cm x 4.5cm
- Next cut 1 cardboard piece size – 11cm x 4.5cm and cut out a design slot on one side as shown in video
- Cut 1 cardboard piece size – 14.5cm x 7cm and cut out the shape of the throne at the back as shown in video
- Attach all the cardboard pieces together as shown in the video above using the hot glue gun
- Make 2 thick paper rolls for side arm rests
- Make 1 thin long paper roll
- Take a paper cup and make cuts at the bottom, spread out in the shape of an umbrella as shown in the video
- Attach the thin paper roll to the inside of the paper cup
- Paint all the pieces separately
- Attach all the pieces together – armrests on both sides of the makhar, the umbrella at the back of the makhar as shown in the video
- Use decoration material to decorate the makhar as per your liking
