Make your own Acrylic Colors

  1. Mix the Ingredients

Take 4 Tablespoon of Refined Flour, Half Tablespoon Salt,1 Tablespoon Sugar and 6 Tablespoon Water and mix all ingredients well in a bowl. Add more water, if needed, to make a smooth paste just like the colors. The paste should be consistent without lumps.

  2. Choose which colors you want to make

Divide and transfer the paste into different containers. 1 Container per color. We took three colors for Red, Blue and Yellow.

  3. Create the Primary Colors

To one container add Turmeric Powder and mix well to create the Yellow Color
To the second container add Red Food Color or Beetroot Powder to create the Red Color
To the third container add Blue (Used for washing clothes) to create the Blue Color

  4. Create the Secondary Colors

You can create the secondary colors by mixing the primary colors. Eg,
    Red + Blue = Purple
    Blue + Yellow = Green
    Red + Yellow = Orange
    Red + Blue + Yellow = Brown
